all the good things
well finally the weather has decided to play the game and do the winter thing! it started to snow today, something i would have liked over christmas, but hey can't always get what you want! The weather in this world is really being schitzophrenic right now, with all the tsunamis, earthquakes and even a hurricane over germany last week, which the germans are not too well equipt for, 11 people were killed! Right now i am in dresden to take the rest of my bungee equipment home to berlin, finally one last trip, i will also see what they have as insurance considering it was a work accident... but being the crusty circus people they are i see more dark clouds ahead! other than that i have been travelling the country over the last week, i drove down south on friday, let me tell you driving an oversized VW van through a hurrican is an experience!! but i got to where i was going safely and got myself a job making costumes for a... wait for it... african show! all rather well paid if i make the costumes without my usuall procrastination! So far i have 3 costume jobs lined up which is roughly 3 months salary... and less than a months work if i work hard... so no panic here about work! I guess i will leave the air steward applications alone and enjoy being creative for the time being! I hope life is treating you all well... remember to enjoy the little things in life!nov 26 2006

Back in the EU
Well what can i say... after a really fun, and exhausting month back home in Cape Town i am finally heading back to the real world of work and making money (god knows i spent enough of it the last 2 months) Sitting at schipol airport is always rather strange, it sort of feels like i am here so often, but it is one of the best airports to kill time... I have just spent the last 3 hours napping on thier leather lounge seats! The next month will be a STRESSED one of designing and creatinbg the new show which will start on the 24th of june, it is hopefully going to be the best work i have done in a long time... expect pics to be uploaded asap! maybe i was wrong!
So my last blog was about the end of winter and how great it is that the sun was finally fighting it's way out of the clouds... I was wrong, the clouds seem to be winning! which i suppose is okay for the moment considering i want to go snowboarding one last time next week friday! I have only got 4 days of work left until i am on holiday with a couple of days work in april and then my month off in may! yeah HOLIDAY! then it will of course be full steam ahead into the land of stress, costumes and sets to design and to make! So i guess that is about it from this side of the world, everyone get ready to celebrate another year gone by... yeah birthday time again!mar 08 2006
The Sun is coming!
So we ware now into what seems like an eternity of winter here in Germany, it never seems to end but the sun is putting up a good fight today and peeking out from behind the clouds every chance it has! I only have 12 show days left of my Sarrasani contract and then some time off, 2 months to be excact (not counting the job i have on easter weekend in Club Pasha in IBIZA) In May I will be back in Cape Town, one whole month of relaxing... i hope *smile* and then it will be back to germany to work nin the same theater festival i have been doing for the last 2 years, nice and easy work... well... easy enough, and perhaps winter with Sarrasani again, who knows! anyway finally a BLOG from me after about 6 months...sep 13 2005
Back to Basics
Once again I am back home in good ol´berlin, And have quickly realised that it is a dangerous city for a person like me who has no self control when it comes to parties and nights out. The first couple of days have been spend catching up with friends and enjoying the night life (you could say having a welcome back party, which kind of happens every couple of weeks since I am always travelling!) It is also tough on the budget if you eat out and party all night long but it has been a well deserved break from being in the middle of the village... I hear it is a lot cheaper here than in London where I am thinking of moving next year to give Life there a chance... but Will still see what plans I manage to come up with all that, as I am opening a company here with 4 friends to supply acroobatic numbers to Galas and events here in Germany! I was also going to audition for the ships again, but have decided that at the moment that is a waste of time as the contracts start in november and January and I already have work lined up for these months so I guess it would be unneccessary stress! Anyhow, that is what life here is like at the moment! gonna watch a movie now *G*aug 06 2005
An Iced Summer!!
Well what can i say about summer in germany this year, so far it has had its good and bad days but the past week has been F&%$ing freezing, finally my fingers are defrosted enough to actually type! Could it be because I have splashed out 1000 Eoros and bought myself a brand new scooter (see pics in Misc) and mother nature is having a laugh everytime i get caught in the rain and drenched? The brand new scooter by the way kind of blew up after only 100km but of course it has a 2 year guarantee, so i guess i could be taking it in every 100km to get a new engine... that would mean 52 new engines a year at this rate! I have just finished my 2nd saturday of 4 shows, it is really exhausting but there is a great party every saturday and I just have to drag myself out and have a couple of whisky´s and a few tequilas, not to many mind you because i will hate myself at 8am when my alarm clock goes off... got to remind myself to change the ring too because one of these days I will spash the phone into a thousand peices just to get another 5´minutes shut eye! So between the shows the parties and the other parties and joyriding on my scooter albeit a little wet... life here is great, I have just signed another 6 month contract over xmas, so anothe cold white christmas it will be for me! Hope you are all well and ready for summer.... the endless winter in germany would drive you all nuts... gonna drag myself off to spain for some sun soon!jul 15 2005

finally the weather has decided to grant us summer... the sweltering heat is almost too much for my european aclimatised body...but with the pool, the volleyball court and the ice cold beer I am sure I will manage... to be cont...may 26 2005
a berlin blog!
well after a hectic 3 weeks in South Africa, back home with my family enjoying the sunny weather (for most of the time) I am back in berlin... and what a busy 3 weeks it was all i can think about is sleeping for days now, i need a holiday after my holiday! The party on friday the 13th was great, not as wild as the parties usually are but just what the doctor ordered, I did a lot of driving around to visit friends, a lot of late nights and early mornings, many bottles of SA wine, many litres of Amstel beer, i lost track of the amount of mixed drinks and shooters i had and of the amount of days i spent hungover! I arrived back at 12pm yesterday and have to go to holland at 5pm today for work, so i guess the relaxing will have to wait until next week or at least until who knows when! but work work work = MONEY! which i will need if i am to become a homeowner in the near future!
