Work...work...Play!

With the weather still playing games with us here in Germany I am wondering if there is such a thing as summer, apparently the abrupt change from sunny warm-ish weather to freezing cold stormy windy rainy weather is quite normal for april... so i guess i will have to wait until i arrive back from SA to see whether summer has arrived, I remember summer last year, I think it was a wednesday... he he my favourite joke about the german weather! It has been a couple of weeks of work and travelling, from Holland to Belgium to Nürnberg, all the most exotic locations known to man, In Nürnberg we actually worked at the airport in an amazinly large tent, the rigging point was 20 meters high and of course for someone who does aerial acrobatics i do sometimes suffer from a fear of heights, 20 meters being one of them! We were there for 4 days and it was rather interesting easy work, we stayed at a 4 star hotel at the airport so it was really relaxed and easy money... and of course all i had to do was cross the road to catch my plane, talk about convenience! So now what do i do with my 2 weeks here in berlin before my next job? well I am trying to get my flat sorted out, i seem to have gathered enought stuff over the last couple of years to fill a house, nevermind my little flat, a lot of it very unimportant but somehow not unimportant enough to just throw away, so i guess it is time to get a basement (or a bigger flat which I just cannot justify if I am only gonna be in berlin for 4 months of the year!) Yes I have 2 contracts lined up for when i get back, a 2 month summer contract in the middle of nowhere doing 2 acrobatic shows in the morning and then dressing up as an indian and riding horses in the main show in the afternoon... work... work... play! Another thing about sorting my flat out is that i have to get rid of my anitque furniture which nobody seems to want, I advertised it on E-bay... not one bid, I offered it for free in the local 2nd hand magazine nobody called, now i am thinking of having a giant braai and inviting all my friends... antique barbeque wood... going cheap!

seems like antiques are not the 'in' thing right now... and it's not like you want to send the stuff home, just not worth it right?

maybe in your 2 weeks off you can actually find some-one who would be interested in taking the old wood off of your hands?

good luck!
