ouch!

today i found out that my brother (the one who lives in germany) is in hospital. the bungee weight came of off the rope he was attached to and he went flying into the crowd.

i'm not too sure of the exact details but i think an audience member was injured (dislocated shoulder). my brother came off worse - imagine being on a bungee cord and the darn thing snapping / coming lose in mid flight. the impact would be pretty hard... he has a broken arm, one week of hospital stay to look forward to and a plate in his broken left arm!

needless to say that he won't be doing that again, he'll be focussing on his comedy act when he has recovered.

i hope you get better soon boetie!

getting too many visitors almost, got way too many chocolates and fruit and juice... but it is nice to feel special. there were 3 articals about the accident in tuesdays papers so a lot of people i know found out like that, today 2 ladies visited me from DHL(it was a private show for them that it happened) and gave me some DHL stuff, a bag and key chain etc in exchage for a photo for thier monthly magazine... oh to be famous ha ha ha

Glad you are ok - suppose it could have been quite a bit worse!! Hope you are getting visitors and flowers in hospital....

thanks Mark, for the well wishes. i think i would rather like to tell my nieces and nephews that the rope broke and i fell 6-7 metres opposed to getting bitten by a great white... i think the chances of surviving a fall are bigger!

hold on, you have an internet connection at the hospital??? and what photo? have you uploaded it to the galleries?

jeez, 6-7 metre plummet! by any chance was this show recorded? you wouldn't have to tell your kids about it, you could show them!

and seriously now: will you be alright? like you'll never be able to do strenous stuff again?

Sounds very dramatic! Will make a good tale to tell his kids one day.

Not sure if i'd prefer to tell that story, or that I was bitten by a great white shark. Hmmm...

well to be excact it was after the bungee number was finished, somehow the rope that we came down on snapped or came loose and then the 6-7 meter plummet to the floor ( or should i say audience, who escaped with minor bruises) so right now i am enjoying terrible hospital food and great painkillers see photo's!!
