silent disco

surfing through bbc news today i came across some pics from the glastonbury festival, a mere 11 to sum up the whole 3 day event, but hey they normally do that...

anyway, above is one of the pics from the gallery of people enjoying a silent disco in order to not piss off the neighbours in a nearby town.

i can't help thinking that this would never work if they were to play heavy metal through those headphones...

ha ha ha funny... i actually managed to catch and rehabilitate 18 frogs and that seems to have been all of them, or if there's more, they got the idea that they've got to be quiet!

earplugs do work. I know this crazy friend who used them because she had little frogs in her garden. Maybe the frogs need to read the article and take the hint that they have to have their own silent disco. I know their neibours ( my crazy friend) will be very happy.

i can understand the neighbours wanting abit of peace... the reason they staged a silent disco (i'm not sure if it's the first of it's kind). but then again you made some valid points about it being a socialable thing, surely for 2 nights of a weekend the neighbours could put up with the noise... earplugs work really well!

hey guys, just popping in to say hello. The idea of a silent disco seems weird and anti social. What if two people meet and want to talk and dance. Or you want to tell a friend that the guy in front of you is cute? You take off the headphones, whisper to each other and put the headphone on again to lead a solitary life. The whole point of a dico/club in to make a lot of noise and to be social. How do the owners attract people to their club without music blaring out the doors. The drugs must be flowing for anyone to enjoy a silent disco.
Ok, bye now. :-)
